By Anne Harris, parishioner of St Wulstan's Church in Little Malvern

The parish of St Wulstan’s in Malvern was very happy to celebrate the canonisations of Pier Giorgio Frassati and Carlo Acutis last Sunday, 7 September.

Both young saints had captured the imagination and reverence of the parishioners in the few weeks prior to the event. And so we were all determined to celebrate!

After a festive Sunday Mass, and as an unexpected bonus, our parish priest Fr Thomas Regan OSB blessed us as he deambulated down the main aisle with a relic of St Pier Giorgio which he has in his possession: a happy end to the Mass.

The congregation then moved on to the parish room where a piece of a large decorated celebration chocolate and orange cake was offered to each, together with a glass of prosecco, no less! So the conversation flowed and the good cheer spread, as a fitting culmination of such a happy time. Golden memories will remain in our hearts.
