Anawim – Birmingham’s Centre for Women’s Charity Shop celebrates exciting move to Moseley, Saturday 27 April

Anawim – Birmingham’s Centre for Women is a leading advocate for women, providing support services to women experiencing multiple and complex challenges. They are proud to announce they will be moving their current charity shop on Edward Street, Balsall Heath, to a brand-new location on Moseley high street. The new location will help Anawim to reach more people in the community by not only selling donated clothes, household items, gifts and art work but also by providing local women with opportunities for valuable work experience and training within this social enterprise.

The shop will be holding an opening event 9am – 4pm on Saturday 27 April at the new address 214-218 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham. Opening times will then be Tuesday to Saturday 9am – 5pm.

The charity shop will also feature artwork specifically created for our ‘Inspire Inclusion’ exhibition for International Women’s day. Visitors will be able to browse a diverse collection of creative works created by local women sharing their individual stories.

“We are excited to bring Anawim’s charity shop to the Moseley community bringing awareness to Anawim’s mission to make a positive impact to the lives of women who need it,” said Joy Doal, CEO at Anawim.

Proceeds from sales will go directly to funding Anawim’s vital services for women, providing women with education, courses, counselling and resources to break the cycles of poverty, abuse and poor mental health.

Support a meaningful cause by buying sustainably, supporting women and feeling amazing!
